Villages of L'Empordanet

This small area of the Baix Empordà region, christened L'Empordanet after the historic writer Josep Pla, is home to many charming villages with beautiful landscapes, a marvellous natural wealth and a heritage worth discovering. These are some of the villages not to be missed in this part of the province of Girona.

A charming municipality built around its ancient castle, of which only the walls remain standing. A town full of history and charm that preserves the porched main square and the unique gothic buildings.

Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa Brava. Cobbled streets, Gothic buildings and a unique charm. Its medieval village, castle and church are well worth a visit, but the best plan is to stroll through its ancient streets and enjoy the aroma and history.

Torroella de Montgrí is one of the essential visits in L'Empordanet. Nature, beaches, history, culture and much more can be seen in this beautiful town crowned by its castle and full of possibilities.

Serra de Daró is a small agricultural village with about 200 inhabitants, which occupies an area of 8 km² and is located at an altitude of 15 metres. It is a village nestled in the natural environment, has a restaurant and is close to the river Ter.

Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park

Observing the depths of the seabed of the Medes Islands is like stepping back in time and enjoying the wealth of flora, fauna and landscape of an ecosystem that is still intact and balanced. Montgrí offers us a unique natural site, where human influence has left an exceptional cultural legacy.

Begur and the beaches of the Costa Brava

Begur is one of the most interesting coastal towns on the Costa Brava. Built around a group of hills called the Begur Massif, where we find a medieval castle that identifies the municipality and close to an extensive coastline bathed by the Mediterranean Sea formed by eight coves and small beaches of an exciting landscape.
